This manual is very well laid out and all you need along with a few ASHRAE handbooks to pass the mechanical PE exam. I would recommend tabbing all of the key sections, learning how to use the formulas and how to quickly navigate between sections that need to be used together. If you learn this book well it should be all you need. It is better than several other books combined.
this book has all of the information in it that you'll need to study for your PE. one note of caution, unlike the 11th edition, the twelfth edition does not include practice problems at the end of each chapter (however, you can obtain practice problems through a separate booklet with solutions worked out). nonetheless, the book is great!
