This is a difficult-to-find, but easy to read, volume by the acclaimed psychic Ingo Swann. I purchased it because I have developed an interest both in Ingo Swann and in remote viewing -- Ingo was a critical part of developing the research protocols for remote viewing with scientists working on government contract decades ago. In this book, Ingo presents some convictions regarding the barriers which prevent you and me from accessing "ESP-type" information and recommendations for overcoming those barriers. He also presents documentation of research conducted over the past 100 years by various experimenters in telepathy and clairvoyance, and makes observations regarding the nature of the "language" that the brain attempts to use to convey this kind of information -- that is, the language of form and imagery. This is a volume whose premise is that a huge amount of information is available to us from the greater environment around us, if we can reduce our barriers to that information flowing in and learn to interpret the imagery language that it speaks with. The calm, gentle tone of the book and its including an intelligent, analytical perspective support its intention. Since this volume was written, much has been written on the "right brain" aspects of non-verbal and artistic communication, as well as the history and protocols of remote viewing of which Ingo Swann was an integral part. It is intriguing to reach back to 1987 through this volume, read Ingo's own impressions, and see how his convictions have been shown to be correct so far.Read full review
Possibly one of the finest books on ESP...which includes some of the early history on testing it, as well as very well-written and illustrated text on how it functions and what helps to improve its function. Ingo Swann is a much tested and very successful psychic subject who understands the subject so well that he helped the military develop their program on Remote Viewing. I found the book extremely interesting and a knowledgeable guide to helping people become acquainted with their own inner psi.
