I have bought and given this book to everyone I know with the recommendation to use the information in it to simplify their daily lives and reduce the amount of chemicals we have all been using and for using the ones we do buy for purposes beyond the original. For cleaning, repairs, health, cooking, medicinal purposes, etc. the natural ingredients recommended in this book replace and even supercede many of those chemical products which mostly have some side effects or are just not as effective or beneficial as the use of the natural replacements Green identifies, such as: vinegar, baking soda, salt, aspirin, and others. There are also many unsuspected uses for every day products we buy, such as charcoal briquets, glue, toothpicks, pantyhose, birdseed, flour, Dixie cups, bleach, cat litter; the list goes on. It is such a daily tool in so many areas, Joey Green's Magic Brands should be a Biblical staple on eveyone's kitchen shelf.Read full review
I think ,helpful hints are always welcome. I like the easy to read print.! have "not " used any hints yet.I can`t say how useful it will be in the future. thank you
This book was suppose to be totally new ideas. I know it is old but so are his ideas. My other book by him is even older but contains the same old stuff. Nothing new. I have to assume all of his books are this way since I have nothing else to go by. His books are a big waste of money. He needs to get some new material or get off the shelf.
I already owned this book and bought this copy for my niece. It's fun and very informative and I recommend it to anyone that seeks an alternative to to standard household cleaners, polishers, etc. This book makes running a household joyful!
This book had some really neat problem solvers with everyday household items. Most of their suggestions actually worked!!!!!!
