At some point the number of blades per cartridge becomes an exercise in futility. The cartridge gets bigger, blockier and difficult to maneuver. R&D costs make blades horribly expensive these days. Typically I use an old school double edge safety razor and pay 9 cents a piece. Use em a week and get a new one. I used the Sensor for years (and the Atra before) but of course production ceased. I keep Sensors around for those mornings when I'm running late and need a fast shave. They're a great blade...but I refuse to pay more than a buck a blade...

Looks like the box is a Gillette Sensor box, but the blade cartridges are black instead of the ones I am used to buying and are not as sharp, leaving my face looking as though it hasn't been shaved for 12 hours or so. I don't believe they are of the quality of the blades from Gillette which are in a gray case and I would not buy them again.

As far as I'm concerned, these original Sensor blades are the best blades ever. They outperform, by far, the Sensor Exel and all the ones that followed despite the latest having four blades per cartridge. It beats the other brands as well. I'm stockpiling them in case they are discontinued in the future. These blades reach the skin, where the other systems don't. With the other blade systems, it takes me ten frustrating minutes or more trying to get to all my beard and never really getting as close a shave as I do with these blades. The other cartridges could increase to ten blades or more on them, but what is the use if the blades don't reach the skin line?

At about a dollar per cartridge - a great buy. I get 7 plus shaves per, while getting the closest shaves ever. I've tried all their multi-blade systems and none of them get close enough to the skin for a close shave. Using Gillette's and other brands with up to four blades and after taking three to four times longer per shave and after stretching my skin, as well as other shaving tricks, those shaves still could not match my Sensor shaves. I've stockpiled almost two years worth of cartridges, just in case they are somehow discontinued.

I think these blades have been discontinued by Gillette, so was thrilled to find them at this source. I love these blades and the razors they fit. I don't like the "ladies" razors, as the handles are usually too cumbersome and overall the razors are too lights. And, I don't like the 3-, 4-, or 5-bladed razors so common now -- I think 2 are enough to get a close shave. So, I've been using a Senor razor for years and years. These blades are the original, manufacturer Gillette blades, not some shoddy knock-off. They work great, and you can use them for more than just a few days, as they stay sharp and do a good job for several weeks.
