Good display, except for cosmetic flaw. I only wish it had more memory but otherwise a good value for an 9 year old. Keyboard responsive, but a little touchy at times. Especially when your mind is set in Windows mode, and have to get used to the Mac layout. Surprisingly simple to use and I have not had one regret since buying it. I was a little hesitant, but it all paid out in the end.

I mean for a device from 2011 I can't really complain much. The frame has seen better days and definitely benefited from a dust out. a well as the hinge doesn't know if it wants to be very loose or stiff. But for the minor things that I use this computer for it does them mostly with ease with a few slow downs. This 2011 MacBook Air refuses to run Windows and after hours of stress I just gave up trying to run Windows on it. After a battery replacement and an SSD upgrade as well as possibly a new keyboard this will be a perfect side machine for lighter tasks. and works amazingly as a school computer. I sadly can't recommend this year specially as the highest version of MacOS you can put on here safely is MacOS Catalina, I would recommend at least spending a bit more to get a 2013. I also noticed that on any type of darker image the keyboards and trackpad have left marks and scratches in the display Read full review

I wish apple would reconsider making the 17" Mac Book Pro again. This is a beautiful machine and has plenty of screen space for running video & Graphic software. The i7 chip handles the new programs without a hitch. After Effects, Premiere, InDesign and Final Cut Pro run on this system perfectly.

The new MacBook Air is up to 2.5x faster than before. It features the latest Intel Core i5 dual-core processor, high-speed Thunderbolt I/O, a backlit keyboard, and OS X Lion, the next major release of the world's most advanced desktop operating system. OS X Lion Every Mac comes with OS X Lion, the latest release of the world's most advanced desktop operating system. Key OS X Lion Features Mission Control provides a bird's-eye view of everything running on your Mac. Launchpad puts all your apps front and center for easy access. View apps full screen and switch between them with a swipe. Interact with your Mac using intuitive new Multi-Touch gestures. Key Features Flash Memory Storage By replacing the standard spinning hard drive typically found in laptops (as well as desktop PCs) with flash memory, the MacBook Air delivers an almost instantaneous boot-up when you open the display, as well as faster application launches and snappier overall performance. Additionally, Apple has shed the enclosure that typically surrounds flash memory (usually about the same size as a standard hard drive), thus giving it a smaller footprint and helping to decrease the size of the MacBook Air.Read full review
This is hands down one of the best laptops we've ever owned. Got this for my wife as an upgrade to he previous MacBook and she loves it. I won't get much into the whole Mac or PC debate, but I will say if you're on the fence, there are two reasons why I'm a fan of Apple software. One, virus protection and security are fantastic and two, it really does just work and Apple tries to make things straight forward and simple. On the hardware side, this laptop is fantastic. It looks and feels great, with a fabulous screen and really good battery life. It runs plenty fast and even handles some pro apps like Adobe Creative Suite well for moderate use. The most amazing thing about the MacBook Air is literally the "Air", because it's so light I can easily hold it with one hand while the screen is open. If you haven't handled one of these in person, I recommend going to the Apple Store or local store that carries them, so you can get a feel for how light and portable it really is. Another wonderful thing that comes with all Mac laptops these days, is the MagSafe power cable that simply pops out if you trip over the cable, so your valuable laptop is safe and sound. I can attest to how valuable this feature is no less than five times. Lastly, yes Apple's products and this laptop included, are more expensive than the bargain brand, but you really do get what you pay for. Hardware that lasts and also holds its resale value very well, as well as software that's easy to setup and use. I highly recommend this fantastic laptop for normal daily computer use and moderate use with pro apps.Read full review
