Wonderfully creative band, nice collection of their "hits". 10cc deserved more true hits, but eclecticity (not a misprint) tends to leave the masses behind. For those that keep up, theirs is the joy to relish. However on the other side of the disc, it is a poor transfer to digital. The old LP's have much more presence and less twang. There is air, spatial quality, and clarity on the LP versions, but the digital translation seems muffled. The fall off keeps the tunes underwhelming, too tame for me. Prefer the method of the original madness, the effort that went into the vinyl captured the spirit and mood. This digital effort is disapointing. It did not have the nuances, the thrill is gone. Guess I will have to make my own transfers to cd from LP, this one is flat. It bumps along like a tire riding on the rim. It moves but there aint no zing. This rendition of greatness needs to be put back on the shelf and forgotten before it spoils the day of others with missing sound. No not hissing sound, missing. Sacrificing air you can find on the LP to achieve a no popping no hissing lack of ambience left me disapointed. Hold out for a sound that gets better reviews.Read full review
