Any "Best Of" compilation is expected to have the hit songs that the group produced, and this CD is no exception. The remarkable hit songs like "The Game Of Love," and "A Groovy Kind Of Love." are included along with a number of lesser hits, both in the U.S. and in England. A total of 20 songs. The interesting thing is that Wayne Fontana (not his real name), and the Mindbenders are, in effect, two different groups. Wayne produced a few hits on his own after he left the the Mindbenders. I happen to like the somewhat gritty sound of early rock, believing that much of the later music was over produced. "The Best of Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders" falls into the early rock category.
