a real good one with some of the classics on it. love everything they did in the 70' been a fan for years and have to get them all. Rush is just one of those bands that make good albums. hard to compete with this era which is filled with timeless material. you should like this one if you are a fan maybe not if not such a fan.kinda classical sounding.

Listed as Very Good, Inside cover was 2 separate pieces taped together on one edge(looks like originally had small booklet? two pieces showed previous staple marks) but just got front & back pieces.Plastic casing showed extensive wear. Disc was scratched but did fortunately played o.k. Definitely not what I'd call Very Good status.

This early RUSH classic features only 6 tracks but includes some of the band's greatest early work and fan favorites to this day, and that's saying something since this album was originally released way back in 1977!!! Along with the title track, A FAREWELL TO KINGS, also features the epic "Xanadu" & "Closer To The Heart". Also features the often overlooked tunes "Cinderella Man", "Madrigal" & space themed epic "Cygnus X-1". This remastered version features the full lyrics to each track in the liner notes booklet which is very cool. Released a year after the band's breakthrough and groundbreaking 2112 album, it's easy for A FAREWELL TO KINGS to be overlooked by the casual RUSH fan and that's unfortunate because this Cd has stood the test of time, and remains a true fan's favorite! I give this classic RUSH release a well earned 5 out of 5 stars. Peace. ROCK ON, longliveneilRead full review
1977 was a great year for Rush "A Farewell to Kings" is the bands 5th studio release and from the self titled beginning track until the very ending of the incredible jam Cygnus X-1 this is an outstanding concept album! Xanadu is easily one of the best (and also longest) songs that the band ever released. The storytelling ability of these really solid and classic tracks coupled with the great vocalist Geddy Lee, the world's best percussionist "The Professor" Neil Peart and one of the absolutely most overlooked (and chronically under-rated) lead guitarists on the planet Alex Lifeson combined in the mid-70's to make music that still stands the test of time yet today. In fact, this cd has been in regular rotation and played nearly weekly since I first owned it on cassette way back in the early 1980's...yes, it is that good!Read full review
Five Rush Remasters CDs all sealed for $35 AND free shipping? The deal of the year in my book. One of the great things about the latest analog vinyl revolution is folks unloading their CD collections for pennies on the dollar. I said goodbye to records years ago in the 80s and never looked back. Long live digital CDs.
