The album that came out in 1980 was one of my favorites of Tull.Even though I did not find out until some years later, this album was to be Ian Anderson's first solo LP. The only remaining members of the 1970's Tull line-up were Ian Anderson and Martin Barre. I was shocked when I first purchased the album in 1980 to find the other 4 members replaced. However right away the disappointment faded when I heard the result. Gone was the old English folk lore themes, replaced by more of a syn-tech as close to "new wave" as Tull ever got. A was and is one of my top 5 picks of Tull of all time. The DVD (Slipstream) is a spoof that came out later of misc. live performances from the A tour. Also there are some "music video" types of performance which are cute and somewhat dull. (over-all worth watching if not for just the live performances of "Black Sunday" and "Heavy Horses" again from the 1980-- A tour)..Excellente' 5 starsRead full review
This was always one of my favorite Tull albums (I saw this tour). I missed hearing it and always planned to get the CD. I was surprised that it came with a DVD when I decided to buy. This was a great value to me. Stormwatch is next.
