Excellent when played on top notch sound systems; you do need to crank up the bass. Otherwise, it starts to get a bit screechy after a while. I think I like the 2006 album "A Twist in the Myth" better. The best song is definitely "And Then There Was Silence."
This is an amazing album. This is what TRUE metal is and should sound like. Its not the modern day screamathon that most metal bands are. Yeah there is some screaming but I can understand every word of it. Its not just a song, its a journey of sound and a sort of story. This album is well worth the money and I hope these guys keep producing this kinda music for a long time.
This is Blind Guardian's most layered, operatic album to date (2011). It has impressive guitar and vocal performances, and almost-Classical orchestration. A wide variety of instruments gives the album a medieval twist.
