I have to give this an excellent, and though I'm a long term Dimeola fan, I wouldn't give the excellent for all of his work. I loved this album from the first time I heard. It drove me out to get some of Astor Piazzolla's own recordings. Hearing Dimeola, who had become friends with Mr. Piazzolla before his death, play his music was pure delight. Maybe it helps if one likes Brazillian composers, I don't know. This is just one beautiful album. Let me say also that I was lucky enough to catch Return to Forever in W. Berlin around '74 with Chick Corea, Lenny White, Stanley Clarke and Al Dimeola. Be on the lookout and stay in touch with Chick's site because, folks, they are going to tour again. It was singly the best concert I've ever been to. I literally walked out of there high (no dope!). With that I'll leave you with my recommendation that you pick up "Al Dimeola plays Piazolla"!Read full review
