    Bowie at his best

I owned this album on vinyl years ago. Technically, I still do, but I don't play vinyl much anymore. I'm thinking about doing "Cracked Actor" for a lip sync contest later this summer, and decided to buy the whole CD rather than download a single song. I'm glad I did. The album holds up very well after all these years, and brings back memories of a time (the mid-to-late 70s) when Bowie made me feel cool just for liking him.

  • 2nd of Bowie's 3 Rock n' Roll albums is a solid effort!

While Ziggy Stardust is unquestionably Bowie's strongest and most consistent album with a strong selection of hits and almost no filler, this, the follow-up, should not be overlooked. While there is about half an album's worth of filler here, the best songs measure up to be as good as anything on Ziggy. Two (Jean Genie and Panic in Detroit) are among the best he ever did. I also enjoy Watch that Man and Drive-In Saturday. Rolling Stones covers are usually a bad idea but Bowie does them justice with this version of Let's Spend the Night Together. Recommended!

  • Sound engineering

Great album by Bowie . The sound quality of the vinyl doesn’t hold up to the remastered CD version . I’ve bought and sold this recording , in various media , a dozen times since the 70s. My first purchase was the 8 Track My last purchase was the 180gm vinyl , but I still keep going back to the remastered CD . Enjoy

  • A must for every Bowie fan out there, excellent sound!

This is the Aladdin Sane 2013 Ken Scott remaster, clear crisp sound. Very recommended. 5 stars.
