The Best of the Best! Anthology offers some of the Best of Ambrosia. I wanted the CD version because after years of first collecting the LP's and then the cassettes, it was going to be too expensive to replace all of Ambrosia on CD. This Anthology CD made it possible to enjoy Ambosia by CD. Some of the best songs ever written by Pack & Puerta are on this CD. David Pack providing those distinctive vocals of his and Puerta always with the driving and riffy bass line. In an era of numerous "Power Groups", Ambrosia was one into themselves, just never quite attained that status amoung the reviewers of the day, but the fans are still aware what a powerful group Ambrosia was and still is. If you want a little slice of "Rock Heaven" from a different era, plug into this CD, Anthology by Ambrosia.Read full review
I fell in love with Ambrosia in the 70's and when they split up I was bummed as a child.I had been looking 4 this cd or something like it for year's so when I seen that Ebay had a copy I had to have it!I just love all the song's but best of all I like that this music tak'es me back to a time when thing's were less serious and life was calm.I just give this super high prop's!
I have gotten so much joy out of this album! I bought it mainly for "Biggest Part of Me" and wasn't that familiar with the rest of Ambrosia's songs. Since buying this album, I have also fallen in love with songs like "Nice, Nice, Very Nice," "Life Beyond L.A.," "Livin' On My Own," "Holdin' On To Yesterday," and "I Just Can't Let Go." I love the feel of these songs- they merge lush, catchy 1970s soft rock with the great musicianship and unique song structures of progressive rock. They are packed full of colorful Hammond B3, Fender Rhodes, grand piano, and analog synthesizer sounds, as well as intricate vocal harmonies. The production and songwriting quality makes my ears melt. As a fellow musician, Ambrosia's songs have been an amazing source of inspiration!

What is there not to like about this CD. The musicianship is far above most other rock groups. They can play complicated music others can't touch, plus the voices will put goose bumps all over you and that harmony is plain out of this world. The ballads are fantastic! Listen to " I Just Can't Let Go " and you'll see what I mean about back up and harmony, listen close and you'll hear Michael McDonald harmonizing, this is a great track and GREAT CD.
