Nothing fancy, just plain 'Raw R&B, Recorded On-The-Spot!' That shocked the best of critics, Including the owner of King Records who was against recording it and/or even putting it out. To everyone's surprise it became one of the biggest selling live albums of the 60's! (Even without the help of a single). If you want to start with ANYTHING from the Godfather Of Soul...This is where you want to begin.
What I like about this CD is that it truly captures "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business" at his best. The horn section, keys, and his voice capturing the essence of the music, are all in perfect form. I heartily recommend this CD to anyone who wants to experience the best of the best in soul music - James Brown!
