I bought this CD due to its rarity. Usually Apostrophe’ is combine with Overnight Sensation. I wanted the original, not a combination of. My friends and I use to listen to this album all the time. I find it as one of Zappa s best. Joe Garage would be the close 2nd. ANyway! I happened to do a search on the seller's site and he had it in stock and at an unbeatable price. See ya at St. Alfonzo's Apncake Breakfast!!!!
This is a fantastic album for anyone curious about Frank Zappa but unsure about his bizarre style. This album is a little less jazzy and a little more rockish, but it contains all the wryness of Zappa. For a tea totaller, this guy sure had a spaced-out perspective. Listen to the lyrics. Seem a tad hard to follow sometimes because of the nonsensical aspects of them, but after a few listens, you will discover you have involuntarily memorized them. Once this happens, you then begin to catch the fine musicianship on this album more fully.
My favorite Frank Zappa album! Don’t eat the Yellow Snow!

Jazz inspired Rock with a dirty sense of humor. Hilarious in parts and overall Zappa at his best. Incredible syncopation, and creative use of instruments and lyrics. Made for open minded and rebellious thinkers, his songs are satires on our lives in the mid 70s and later. Very funny stuff with a musical genius at the controls. Best, Dadio
Very dynamic and has something for everyone. This album is a masterpiece in my opinion. The detail that Zappa injects into his music is some of the best you will ever hear and Apostrophe does not disappoint with it's incredible story telling and musicianship. At a cool and condensed half hour, Apostrophe gets straight to the point and delivers exactly what you want to hear.
