Many years went by, til I finally watched this film. The plot was a bit too basic, for me. Wise ass detective chases madman all over San Francisco, and catches him in the end. There wasn't much more to the story, to try and figure out. Also, the film wasn't as action packed, as I was expecting. Harry Callahan's smart ass dialogue, is what stood out the most. Not a boring film, but not a great film. A bit too overrated, in the eyes of film history.

Clint in one of the many roles that made him famous and he did it so well . It makes you want to go out & buy a .44 magnum . He has the best lines and delivers them perfectly .It sets the standards for cop dramas and no one did it better . The extras in the DVD were entertaining and helped me to see how and why the movie was made as it was . One of my top movies of all time as are others Clint did . Now the question is who's better Clint or John Wayne ???
