So, after saying in my Beau Brummel's review that the term "Art Rock" doesn't mean all that much to me, what do I pick to review next? "Art In America." You can't get more "Art Rock" than that. This is not an album of sappy love songs. Neither is it an album of psychedelia, although it has a bit of tht feel. For "feel," let's try early "Yes" with equally quirky but less transcendental themes. Why? How about Eddy Offord, the producer of "Close to the Edge" being the producer of this album? Chris Flynn, the main dude, has a web site with a few downloads from the album and some additional material available for streaming. If you have any doubt about getting the whole album, sample that first. Very melodic, really, REALLY quirky and interesting lyrics. I listen to it a lot, and sing along. Well, croak along, anyway, but that's the beauty of earphones - at least you don't disturb yourself.Read full review
