Now an old duffer, I used to like Sparks in the early seventies with their first two albums, but went off them quickly after what I thought was bland pop of Kimono My House and thereafter. I rediscovered their latest brilliant albums only a few years ago, and started working my way backwards. "Balls" has mostly bad reviews, and purports to be 'dance' music or some such, which I always thought I hated. However, Sparks always transcend their chosen genre, their superior songwriting and arrangements still amaze me, the songs on this CD are all really good, and I still have no desire to dance.

The 18th album from the influential pop duo, full of cutting-edge, ingenious techno tunes, and as catchy as ever. If this had been by the Pet Shop Boys, it would have been hailed as a masterpiece. Originally available in four different coloured covers - blue, red, yellow and green.
Bought it as the UK distributor couldn't find a copy to give me. I needed it to rip and upload to download sites (iTunes, HMV Digital etc.) as I'm an aggregator. Balls is a great Sparks album!! It will be available for download from a site near you soon.
