Despite it's listed date, this album dates to the late 60's, and was part of the folk revival in England that also gave rise to John Fahey and Fairport Convention. It was my first exposure to Bert Jansch and John Renbourne, two of the best acoustic players of the era. Jacqui McShee's vocals were fine at the time, but have not aged as well as the music. If you'd like to sample the best cuts, check out Hunting Song and House Carpenter.
Sounds great!
