I love The Who but this collection is a bit of a mixed bag. As it is a collection of BBC sessions there is a little too much over emphasis that the tracks are recorded for the BBC. The disc is bookended by two BBC jingles (plagerised versions of My Generation and Boris the Spider)....talkin' about my favourite station!.....really! I could have done without hearing those. Some other the other tracks are introduced by cheesy Radio One DJ voice overs. All in all an excellent collection and I'm glad I've got it but when it comes to playing a Who compilation I'll probably choose "Whose Better Who's Best " or "Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy" more often than this. "The Kids Are Alright" is also a strong contender if you want The Who live...and why wouldn't you?
