I bought this CD because I used to have the vinyl album from my college days ('69 - '73) and it along with the other Tull albums were some of my favorite albums. This album has some great music. Songs "With you there to help me", "Nothing to say", "To cry you a song", "A time for everything?", and " Sossity; You're a woman" are some of the best songs ever. Not just by Tull but anyone. I must admit I'm partial to Tull because I was lucky enough to see them live twice in 1972 when they were at their best. Saw them in April in Philadelphia, PA at the Spectrum and they did music from "Benefit", "This Was", "Stand Up" and "Aqualung". In November in Jacksonville, FL I watched them fool the audience when they came out in their long white (off-white, actually) coats which they wore in the photos in the album cover to "Thick As A Brick" and were setting-up and adjusting the instruments with the house lights on. I looked at them for a minute, realized it was them, got a kick out of the joke, told my date it was them (she didn't believe me) and then watched and loved it when they took off the coats and went right in to playing their music (I don't remember what the first song was). At that time there were only two performers (that I had seen live in concert) that absolutely dominated the stage. Pete Townshend and Ian Anderson. Townshend with his guitar work and show and Anderson with his guitar, flute and show. He "conducted" the band. You could not take your eyes off him. He demanded and commanded your total attention. The kids today may be able to see some of these two on DVD or tape or the internet but it does not come close to seeing them live. Anderson was a great song writer then and this album shows that.Read full review

Recording quality isn't what I was expecting. I don't have the original vinyl so I can't compare.
