The King of Rock-n-Roll is not Elvis of the velvet throat, nor Michael of the incredible dance, but Ian Anderson the one legged flute playing jack-of-musical-trades and master of all: Cerebral, wry, witty and gritty lyricist... Ring master of stage and a bewildering assortment of instruments, and ever widening troup of band members... A multi-genre genius who did it all.... Forget the crown, pop and rock faithful, the Jester stole it a long time ago!!! The Best of Acoustic Jethro Tull is not an "unplugged" after-thought, but an integral part of Tull's superb shows where the anthems of Aqualung and Steel Monkey existed beside Thick as a Brick and Bouree.... The 24 tracks will surprise as to inclusions and exclusions with delights on every track from the earliest days to modern Ian compositions and a couple of unreleased tracks.... Not a bad one in the bunch!Read full review
Absolutely love it

Another compilation, of which there are many, for this epic band, but this one is a fine collection of the tunes rooted in the English folk tradition from which Ian Anderson draws upon so skillfully. These are the songs I always loved from Tull. A total of 22 songs plus 2 previously unreleased tracks makes this CD a good deal. A must for collectors and a great album for the more casual fan.
Excellent recording!
