I bought the original LP of this when it came out in '69, but I was interested in hearing Bob Ludwig's remastering of it. He did, as suspected, a fantastic job. Heard some nice little details not found on the original Verve Lp's...which do sound great, but mastering technology has evolved since then. Great price for this too. Well shipped. A+++

this is a best of compilation from the first 3 zappa/mothers albums. it is truly a best of, one of my favorite lps of all time. classic zappa, witty, sarcastic, aggressive, he took no prisoners. it is from the mid 1960's, so the recording media wasnt up to todays standards, but doesnt detract from the whole of the experience, Frank Zappa and the Mothers at their very brilliant best, and remains as politically current as ever. if you dont like it, its probably because you took it personally.
