This Disc is a nice intro to Zappa's Music for the more commercially minded listener. As the title suggest this is a collection of Frank's more commercially assessable works. As far as "The Best Of" that all depends on what your going for. While sticking with the more commercial theme the tune "Magic Fingers" from 200 Motels springs to mind, s well as "Wet t-Shirt Night" from Joe's Garage as amoung the missing. You could say the same about Bobby Brown. Frank's music covers all grounds. There's Frank the Rock Musician. Frank the Composer. Frank the Guitar Player. Frank the Humorist. Frank the.... I think a more realistic introduction to Frank's Music would be the Apostrophe Disc, or "You Are What You Is". They are both overall a bit more commercially assessable while still touching the fringes of all things Zappa. For those into "Musician's Music" it's hard to Beat "Hot Rat's". Overall this is a nice collection but I myself would perfer to listen to a Zappa Disc in it's entirety as would most Zappa Freaks. Since there's nothing really new here, this release is obviously aimed more towards those not familiar with Zappa.Read full review
