‘Then and Now’ is a 16 track compilation which perfectly captures some of Steely Dan's finest tracks from their 1970s heyday. While not chronological, the running order works really well, the tracks flow nicely from one to the next. 'Reelin in the Years' from 1972 album ‘Can’t Buy A Thrill’ opens the set with selections from all their albums up to 1980’s ‘Gaucho’, and the non-album track ‘FM’ from 1978 is also here. Though long deleted and superseded by more recent compilations of the group’s work, ‘Then And Now’ is a terrific ‘best of’ and this CD deserves to be any serious collection, whether you’re already a Steely Dan fan or starting out a collection of their work. Highly recommended.

Great album, all great tracks on here....if you're interested where they got their name from, look up Steely Dan from the Film Barbarella with Jane Fonda.....just a note, it's rude ! 😁
