Bill Bruford is the consummate drummer. With a strong foundation in rock, yet the incredible, intimacy and intricacies of a gifted jazz drummer, Bruford constantly redefines what a drummer should be, not just a time-keeper, but a solid, inventive musician always seeking a new direction, feel, or groove to push music to new levels of enjoyment. Surrounded here by many of the best of that era and genre, Bruford has created a masterpiece. Berlin's vocals are at times off-key or weak, but he's a mean, powerful, inventive bass player, not a lead vocalist. Other than that small criticism this is, and always has been, one of my favorites 9I still have the vinyl). Pick it up, you'll hear why.
Better condition than explained. Disk waa.flawless. I haven't heard this album in around 12 years die to a series of mistakes. This is one of these greatest mass fusion albums to exist and in my minds eye I got a great, honest and fair deal on it!
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
Just another delve into the multifaceted Bruford. Yeah! Jeff Berlin can sing. Unkown John could have refrained from the vibrato at the end of every sentence. Overall it is good.
