Somewhere along the line my original Blizzard of Oz was stolen or lost so ordered this one as a replacement. This arrived early and the CD plays and sounds excellent. Glad to have this album in my collection again, absolute classic must have for any music collector as Randy Rhoads was an enigma and powerful talent who left this world way too early.

This is classic Ozzy, this is what the radio station plays when they are not playing original Black Sabbath. If you like classic rock & Ozzy then I am sure you know. If you are testing the waters, and you don't like it it will definately re-sell for close to what you paid for it on e-bay. great lyrics great talent great beats loud treats HEAVY METAL MAN from a time when heavy metal was still gaining roots and eventually in the mid to late 80's heavy metal was very popular even with girls eeww! I own this on vinyl too. I also owned at one time Rhandy Rhoade's tribute, which has most of these songs with different studio cuts and live versions. You should definately check out tribute, and you should must own BLACK SABBBATH-BLACK SABBATH self-titled original albumn from 1970, LOVE IT.
I"m an early Black Sabbath fan from my youth -they were pretty much the first RnR band I got into. When Ozzy left the ban I sort of lost track of both of them (though I always liked Crazy Train on the radio). Now I have a son learning to play bass to... you guessed it - early Black Sabbath and Ozzy! So he's rekindled my interest in both. I still have some Black Sabbath (and they still sound good to me), but no Ozzy. That said, I picked this one up for Crazy Train. Fact is, this is a Really Good album. There is some real talent in the band backing Ozzy, and it shows - they rock! And I'm picky about my metal bands (most don't do much for me - too much posing, too much the same formula). It's a nice complement to his Black Sabbath days - captures the BS/Ozzy magic, but doesn't copy it. And a bit of info I learned while searching for it I'll pass on - after this CD was re-mastered and distributed in '95, later releases (one recently in '05 in particular) of this "same" album has a different mix of musicians, and I've read does not rank with the musicianship on this original version. I may have to pick up Diary of a Madman...Read full review
Item arrived promptly in excellent condition: thanks! Just like Martin Popoff, rate this lower than excellent follow-up and maybe others to come. However, no denying Randy Rhoads is awesome throughout. Enough classics to satisfy unless you have a compilation with big ones here. Dislike crazy train but admit it's important while songs like I don't know and Mr. Crowley are very appealing.

This is the door opening classic ozzy album that launched ozzy osbourne's solo career. With Randy Rhoads at the helm his guitar wizardry broke new ground for heavy metal & later with Ozzy's second release Diary of a Madman earned him Guitar plater Magazines Guitar player of the year award.Only later with ozzys's exploits such as biting the head of of a bat & dove distinguised Ozzy as the godfather of heavy metal, only to come literaly crashing down as Randy Rhoads was killerd in an horrific airplane accident ending his life at age 25 on march 19 1982.There is no telling how great he would become but this album is a masterpiece of his lifes work. The remasster is however been rerecorded with a different bass playere & drummer & not true to the original recording the jet record release is now a sought after collectors item for any fan!Read full review
