Good quality, good value who I bought it from. Love this CD. I think it is my favorite Tori Amos Record. I bought it because I had lent this to someone else and never got it back, and I am glad I have it.
Pele is indeed an interesting album. I don't think it's nearly as accessible as earlier albums, no real toe-tapping radio-friendly numbers, and no particularly beautiful ballads. I find myself quite intrigued by this album. Yes, it's strange. Yes, she moans, breathes, screeches and sighs, stretching out syllables and generally having fits of histrionics. But despite all this, I find myself liking it, being drawn in, wanting to uncover just what it is she's trying to say. And certain moments are so emotionally intense that you find yourself holding your breath—completely captivated. The nice thing about her vague lyrics is that her striking imagery can speak at some levels to almost everyone. It's very emotional, but not in an uncomfortable way.
I bought this album as the other copy I had was scratched. This is a fantastic album, although I am biased being a huge fan of Tori! I think this is one of the best earlier albums, I would reccommend it to anyone, whether you are a fan wishing to complete your collection or would like to sample some of Tori's earlier work.
A very interesting cd, tori amos's voice just oozes out of each track like honey. Some songs take a while to get used to (but hey this is Tori!) but overall its a good buy.
I turned on to Tori Amos after hearing 'little earthquakes' on her second album. Since that one, in comparison, every album since has been a disappointment. This one is long, boring and VERY self indulgent. I won't be buying any more Tori Amos again.
