I remember buying this record back in high school, coming home and playing it and thinking what a cool record!, its almost 30 years later and i reconnected with the teenager i was, again it still sounds perfect, like the time machine everyone talks about!. This is a concept album from start to finish, no filler only choice cuts. Thanks Supertramp. You guys rock in 2019

I've often heard and read that 'Breakfast in America' was second in popularity to Supertramp's 'Crime of the Century'. Maybe so but I find that second place to be a photo finish. Tunes like the 'Logical Song' easily rival their later work with lyrics that still resonate. Find this album on a quality pressing and you've got a 'keeper' for any classic rock collection.

This is as far I know the first issue of this title, manufactured on Japan for the Japan market, this is a highly collectible item, I have been told that is not the best sounding source available, for that matter the MFSL should be the choice. Never the less, this is a very scarce CD from one of my very favorite Supertramp releases, it took me about two years to find one copy, is scarce even in Japan, if you are a collector and likes about Supertramp and see this title on auction don't hesitate in bid or buy you won't regret it, in my personal opinion is a pure gem. The item would be more collectible if comes with the OBI strip attached.
Not all will love Supertramp. But if you do, this was by far their best Album. This album was the launch pad that made them somewhat of a supergroup in this era. There was a lot of transition in the group, musically and philosophically after this album. My take on it was the classic "To Big For Their Britches" syndrome. They had some great music after this, but it changed. It was different. In fact, their older music is better than the music released after this album But, this album is just the Shitt. It's a GREAT CD. if you sort of like Supertramp you'll love this. If you check out their "Best Of" CD you'll see a lot of these songs on it. But in fact, this IS the best of CD. It's simply their best music.
I really enjoyed listening to this one when first come out on cassette now I can listen to it again on CD. The CD is good quality that sounds great brings back memories
