If you are a fan of the "prancing and dancing" flautist of rock 'n roll you will enjoy this album. If you are wanting to replace your aging vinyl from that tour than this CD is for you. Having been a Tullie since 1971 (Aqualung) I can tell you Ian Anderson was, and still is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest of progressive, folk, jazz, rock musicians ever produced in the UK. Beastie and Broadsword were on the 1982 album. Jack A Lynn, Jack Frost and the Hooded Crow, Overhang and others are the bonus tracks. The songs on this album are from the last major "full production" stage show tour. Ian and the band (with various new and old members) still does about 75 to 100 shows a year. I think you will enjoy this CD. I did.
1982's Broadsword and the Beast brought Jethro Tull back to material that made them so good. Even though it never really caught on in the USA, it was a major seller in Europe. Also it was in my top 5 of all Tull albums. Every song on the original cut is great. However the Re-master version includes an additional 8 songs!!! "Jack Frost and the Hooded Crow" is classic Tull and a holiday song to boot. For those who like Jethro Tull...this one is a must. I'm a one band man...
