The album opens like any other Coheed album; with an instrumental intro. This is fine as always, and can't exactly be counted as a real song. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 - 9/10, Beautiful song. Cuts Marked In The March Of Men - 8/10, Feels like a continuation of IKSoSE:3 Three Evils (Embodied In Love And Shadow) - 9/10, Very similar to the previous song, but even better. The Crowing - 10/10, One of the absolute best songs Coheed has ever put out. Blood Red Summer - 8/10, A very fun and carefree sounding song, which is a major change from the dark tones of The Crowing. The Camper Velourium: Faint Of Hearts - 9/10, The Best of the Camper Veloriums. The Camper Velourium: Backend Of Forever - 8/10, a very dark sounding song that gets in your head. The Camper Velourium III: Al The Killer - 8/10, My least favorite of them, but still amazing. A Favor House Atlantic - 10/10, A review can't do it justice. The Light & The Glass - 9.5/10, A song that starts off mellow, then ends up sounding similar to Welcome Home and IKSoSE:3 combined. 21:13 - 10/10, Maybe it's just because I'm a total fanboy of Second Stage Turbine Blade, but this song couldn't be any better.Read full review
The sophmore album presented by Co&Ca really shows the band's potential for the next big thing. The intro is very powerful lyrically and really grabs you with its 6+ min In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3. In my opinion, the peak of this album includes The Crowing, which is by far Coheed's best track ever. The Light & The Glass very subtly concludes Silent Earth. You will not be disappointed with this album. Recommended!
Claudio Sanchez shows the world the true power of his voice and lyrical mastery in "In Keeping Secrets". Easily Coheed's best album to date, In Keeping Secrets tells a moving storyline in an evocative way. Even if you don't care about the lyrics, the music is incredible and very enjoyable. I have listened to all of Coheed and Cambria's albums, and this one is my favorite.
this is the best coheed album. my favorite indeed. it has some of their best songs and it just flows so perfectly. also the hidden track "21:13" is the best ending. this is epic.
its alright music, im a music collector so im expanding my collection. The music is interesting. Probably the most interesting pop-rock i've heard from recent artists. Claudio Sanchez' voice is out of control. I can't believe that the voice that comes out of his mouth is his. He's like the new Geddy Lee.
