What a fantastic track. Not just words, but meaningful and also very true words! An excellent view on todays society and the "need for fame" Hard rocking guitar, cool blues vocals, unbeatable. Has to be the best track of 2008 if not the 21st century!! The best Rock Band will keep their throne!! God Save Queen
Good first album but some tracks used as filler. Like jeff Beck is the guitarist guitarist, Rogers falls into the same category for singers. A better singer than Mercury but Mercury wrote a lot of Queens songs and was a great front man. ONLY rogers could have filled that roll so hopefully they can keep this going to develop Rogers, May ,Taylor songs into a new Queen.
As an avid Queen fan I had looked forward to this album for months. On first play I was disapointed, but after reminding myself that Queen - Freddie + Paul Rodgers was never going to sound the same as the Queen of old I gave it another try, and you know what, it's very good.
Status Quo meets U2. Rodgers almost sounds like a Bono who's learned to sing. Good first studio album, they can only get better if they try hard. At least May's guitar is beginning to sound nasal.
