Any 'King Crimson' fan listening to these renditions will find brilliance in these musical interpretations and familiarity within the compositions. Each player has his 'moment in the sun' without overstepping the Original melodies. Vol. 2 features Mel Collins and his added brass only strengthens these jazz-infused recreations. If you dig 'KC', get these ! They are top-notch and quite the tribute.
I have followed King Crimson since the early day's and I thought then that some of the music lent itself to jazz. The crimson jazz trio do a fantastic job of giving a new twist to old tunes. It is a shame that they have only the 2 albums I wish they had done more. If you like King Crimson and you like jazz then I think this is for you. If you do not know King Crimson but like Jazz, might open your eyes to some more music.

this is volume 2, meaning more fantastic reconstructions of King Crimson material, played by musicians at the top of their game who will be familiar to longtime K.C. fans. Sadly, this will be the last of this music as Ian Wallace passed away shortly after this album was made. A fine drummer and human being who will be missed. Highly recommended to lovers of fine acoustic jazz. M.B. electdrums
