If you've never heard it you're missing out! This is one of my all-time favorites. A mixture of classic soul, blues, jazz and raggae this was genius when first released. We just didn't know it at the time. Now though, the appreciation for this once in a lifetime classic is finally being realized by myself and others as well. I highly recommend giving this classic a listen! Pay particular attention to "Listen". Shear genius!!!!!!!

20 years ahead of their time, Cymande were successful innovators, and this, their first album, remains a ridiculously hot example of just what can happen if your talent exceeds your pop image. These guys were so low key...I saw them in San Francisco in 1976 and was just shredded by their authenticity and pure energy. There was a hit song on this album, THE MESSAGE...god it's a great tune! Their subsequent albums were up to par, but this was the best....if you can find this, grab it...it won't disappoint
This CD features a lot of songs sampled by DJ's all over the world. The song BRA was a dance hall favorite in NYC in the 70's. The songs are funky and fun to listen too. They make you want to get out of your seat and dance. Other songs on this CD remind you of pink floyd and the experience because of the sound effects. Its definatly a musical journay. Strap on your seatbelt and enjoy the ride.
