Notes
A concept album, spiritual but not necessarily religious, with songs that deal with suffering and the hard times we all eventually face in life, yet none of the songs leave you without hope. From the opening line of the first track, 'What's the difference it doesn't matter, the ones I loved are gone today', To the ending thought of the last song, ' I won't doubt in the dark what I've been given in the light', the listener will be taken on a musical and emotional journey to find some possible answers to where you can turn when everything seems to be going wrong? Rich Chaplin is a seasoned musician who is not afraid to let the listener in or open himself up to criticism through his lyrics and life journey. This album is truly 'soul' music and reflects a hint of thought found in ancient writings such as the Psalms. From heavy, to blues, to acoustic simplicity there's something to be found here for the seeking and discerning listener.
