This album opened the door to IQ for me. Everything about it is amazing. The arrangement, the musicianship, the vocals, the mood, the atmosphere, the production. Every song is stellar. There is not one song on here that doesn't fit on the album. I would highly recommend this album if you're looking for fresh prog-rock in the vein of Transatlantic, Genesis, Porcupine Tree, etc ...
The cover art is awesome. It definately drew me to the cd. The music is dominated by keyboards and the guitar work is limited but the music is still sonically progressive. This is the first time I have heard of the group IQ and they left a good impression on me. I think they have been around since the late 80's. I'm looking forward to buying more of their cd's.
This is the best new symphonic progressive rock CD that I have heard in 20 years. Has everything for the prog fan- melodic songs with top notch musicianship, lush keyboards, soaring guitars, and a powerful vocalist. No weak tracks here with the 2 long tracks(Sacred Sound + Harvest of Souls) especially appealing.
Very, very good
