Putting aside the emotions that this concert invokes in me (I'm a proud American and a prouder New Yorker, for I lost 10 friends on 9/11) what can be said when you have a star studded line up like this. My only wish would have been, where was Simon & Garfunkel? (Native N. Y.er's). With that said, this is one GREAT album. With all of our British brothers here performing along side our American brothers and sisters it makes me proud and sad that it had to be done. Bowie's rendition of "America", the Who, never sounding better, and who can forget E. C.'s "Hoochie Coochie Man" w/ Buddy Miles? And appropiately finishing the concert off is Sir Paul McCartney, WOW! And then there's the All American heroes: Mellencamp (my all time favorite, besides the Beatles of course),Etheridge, James Taylor, Bon Jovi and New York's favorite son Billy Joel. On the sweet and sorry side of this concert is Opera Man (very funny) and Mike Moran the fireman who lost his brother and fellow brethren of the FDNY. This is a wonderful album, full of great music.
