OMFG, THE MADNESS!!! The speed, the technical merit, the screaming, the pain, the POWER, it's all here as in their previous offerings. Now I'm no professional critic, I just know what I like going into my ears and this is definately one for the ages. Some have said that DEP sold out a while ago, but I don't buy that crap. Picking up Greg Puciato was a boon for Dillinger imho. He's helped shape the band into something new, not alone of course, but his take on vocals broadened their style I think. Dimitri Minakakis was great in the beginning, but in retrospect he was sort of a "typecast" singer. This CD is awesome from beginning to end, but the notable tracks imo are "Gold Teeth On a Bum", "Room Full Of Eyes", and "I wouldn't If You Didn't". These tracks sort of keep you off balance with speed, then falling back to a slow pace, then drop kicking you in the nuts in true DEP fashion. I can hardly wait for the next CD!Read full review
Option Paralysis is 41 minutes of pure, unfiltered energy and full-on, unbridled intensity from the very first scream to the very last note as ‘Parasitic Twins’ fades out. ‘Farewell, Mona Lisa’ is truly one of the most insane opening tracks on an album, setting you up for what’s to come and letting you know right off the bat that Dillinger is still the greatest, and making sure you never ever forget that The Dillinger Escape Plan always was, still is, and forever will be unrivaled by any band. THE GREATEST BSND OF ALL TIME!!!!
