King Crimson has been defined in three ways: the guitar work of Robert Fripp, the drumming of Bruford or Ian Wallace, and the lyrics whether by Sinfield or others. Here we have John Wetton, bassist and vocalist of middle Crimson, with District 97. The part of the set dedicated to Crimso material is featured here. One More Red Nightmare is notable by the nice drumming which accompanies this piece. That more than recommends this CD. Wetton does not have exclusive right to vocals. We have interplay between a female vocalist and Wetton. While Wetton's voice has become less crisp and distinctive since the 70s, he still can handle the songs. I liked hearing songs with vocal back and forth. My recommendation: pick up this CD. It is a fine addition to the Crimson repertoire.
Really well done bunch of King Crimson songs. The band clearly reveres the originals. Excellent musicianship all around. Recording is great. Wish it were longer, but I'll take it.
