I always liked the Doors growing up. my brother and I use the collect record albums. We had the Doors Absoutley Live Album. i was never big on live albums from back then as the quality of the sound was not always the best. The Absolutley Live Album was great ( I now have the CD). I happened to catch a few Doors songs on the radio recently (Light My Fire one of them) which was not on the live album so I did a search and found this CD, it is GREAT !!! Has all of the Doors songs I like to listen to, brings me back in time, thoroughly enjoy it. I would highly recommend it. Also, i would recommend 2 Live CDs which i believe i bought on EBay a few years back (again not so big on live albums bit these are good) Grand Funk Railroad and Johnny Winter.
Best of the Doors 2 DISC set is full of classic early Doors music.

I was interested in The Doors for a while but never got around to listening to their music for some reason. I felt that this album would be a good way for a newcomer to this band to appreciate them. All of the songs have a unique feel to them that automatically makes me think of the early 70's. Some of my favorite tracks on the album are The Crystal Ship, The Unknownn Soldier, The End, People are Strange, Strange Days, and the list goes on. I think it was the sound of The Doors that really interested me in the group. They have so many divserse songs that there is always bound to be one that anybody could enjoy. This is the type of album that deserves a listen through for all of the songs, but there will definitely be some that stick out to you more than others. The two best things about this group is the sound of the band and the diversity of the songs that they sing. Though I listen to a lot more Indie Rock, I also have a deep respect for classic rock as well, and The Doors embodies that music term very well.Read full review
IN MY EARLY YEARS I THOUGHT DRUGS AND DRINKING AND ALL THAT GO WITH IT WAS SO COOL. THIS MUSIC IS PRAISING THE SINFUL LIFE AND CULT WORSHIP. AS AN OLDER PERSON I STOP AND SEE HOW DESTRUCTIVE THOSE EARLY YEARS OF LIVING CAN BE. THE VICTORY IS IN JESUS! DAVID A.
Not really a big DOORS fan , but was watching the movie and thought i would try and get a CD. This was a great choice. The quality of the music is like something new not 35+ years old. So many of the songs i knew but did not know i knew. A great CD with all the hits and more...HAVE FUN WITH THIS ONE I DO !!!!!
