    An instrumental story for your mind.

    I've been a fan since 1984 when I heard this at a big record store on the giant speakers. Andreas Vollenweider Down to the Moon and Dancing with the Lion are two incredible fusion sounds that have to be heard. Just enough intensity to bump out of smooth/calm. Thoroughly rich in concept and performance.

    Andreas Vollenweider - Down to the Moon

    This album is starry. The entire album is a trance into the endless mind of anything you can dream. It is great for uplifting, it is great for mellowing down. Even though Andreas is the key artist, it's amazing how much he takes a "backseat" to the other instruments and voices. Oh wow, and the voices....so smooth, like silk chocolate. I've only heard smoother with Pat Metheny. This is an incredible album that lives in any collection or genre.

    Wonderful Musical Experience

    This is a wonderful (full of wonder) CD. I first bought this album many years ago...in upgrading my music collection I thought I would see if it was available in cd format on ebay. It Was!! Vollenweider is an excellent composer and magical musical artist. This particular album, "Down to the Moon" is one of my all-time favorites. I would recommend this to all those who appreciate being led on a musical adventure into inner space through music.
