Kate goes all in on art rock with wild vocals, unsettling imagery, tribal drums and atonal atmospherics. Love, loss, alchemy, colonialism, bank robbers and Houdini all play a part. Mesmerizing.

Before Tori Amos there was another crazy quirky nymphomaniac artist...Kate Bush. As much as I love Tori Amos, Kate Bush was the real deal and Tori very often sounds like a rip off if you compare their collective works. The Dreaming is one of Kate's greatest albums and probably her most unbridled artistic expression. There Goes A Tenner is one of the greatest songs ever written. 5 Huge Stars.
Just love this CD

I had to replace my lost copy of this fantastick album. Song after song are interesting short stories disguised as toe tappin diddies, chanting tributes, or atmospheric lulaby like dialogue. Kate Bush's continuous juxtaposition of technique is exquisitely displayed in 'The Dreaming' In my opinion.
