I'd hate to tell you what Duke ('Du key) means but it's East Coast slang for something you don't want to step in on the street. This rock drama album is about a time in the life that is not comfortable--like now (hence the appropriateness of the redux). This is greatly infectious music in the Genesis rock quartet's best vein, almost symphonic but also rock blues about bad times (like now). I always regarded Genesis as the moral equivalent of a replacement for the blown out Beatles. Give this retrospective a try. It will make you feel better about feeling bad, which will release you to look forward to better times. But don't expect them too soon. And don't expect any new music this good any too soon either. This "blues" project may have released Phil Collins and his pals for the really great, wonderful music they kept producing for several years afterwards. This is a fantastic album! front to back absolutely no filler. This was the album that helped them step from prog rock obscurity to pop rock legends! Grant you if The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway would have been their last album they would have been called masters anyway, but this album & the album that followed it (ABACAB) are a testament to the resolve of GENESIS.
