Back to the Egg rivals Band on the Run as Wing's finest release. There are highlights throughout including 2 songs from an all star band that only someone of Macca's stature could assemble for example David Gilmour from Pink Floyd, John Paul Jones and John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, Pete Townshend, Kenny Jones, Gary Brooker...enough said on that. Outside of those great tracks, Getting Closer, Old Siam sir just about every track is great. I suppose if forced to pick a track I could do without it would be Spin it on but even that has a nice rock feel to it. This album should have been a monster. If you haven't heard these tracks and chances are because it's out of print you haven't...do yourself a favour and get it. You'll be glad you did.
Back in 1980 I bought the album. The world was much better for music and for having fun. I took a lot for granted. I have already played the cd more than album back in the 80's. It's totally more Enjoyable now that you can 't take the Music 🎶 and great groups for granted ! Good music 🎶

Back To The Egg has long been one of my favourite lp's/cd's. It contains echoes of The Beatles' "Revolver" along with a touch of Punk and a bit of disco. Most recently "My Baby's Request" from this lp/cd was added to one of the Exclusive Deluxe Editions of his "Kisses On The Bottom" cd. Quite simply this is an awesome cd for any McCartney fan.
Excellent

Back to the egg the last official Wings album. Has a great variety of songs plus bonus christmas tracks. I feel it was a very underated album most of the songs are as good or better than London Town. If you are a Paul Mc Fan it's a must. These songs recieve little air play and still sound fresh. James M Paulus
