Interpretable -- like the best ambient music. Not accompanied by emotional baggage, but providing room for your own. The music is characteristic of Eno's ambient "Airport" series in that it is minimalist, and one could imagine the tracks being most of a sound track. It is also minimalist in that the timbres, melodies and rhythms are somewhat ambiguous; they are open to interpretation from a listener's emotional state or from possibly accompanying images and scenes. Very subjectively, the music suggests large open spaces to me; I find it beckoning but calming. I get the feeling of Winter rather than Summer. A light breeze rather than stillness.
I purchased this because of my other experiences with music from Brian Eno. If you like music that allows you to meditate, de-stress, relax, study, or just chill-out, then this is perfect. The Equatorial Stars is another fine example of tunes from the realm of ethereal ambience.
