I've been a fan of these guys for a while now. I'd almost lost faith in American rock'n'roll since Aerosmith started doing doo-wop but Better Than Ezra is one of few bands that still bring a fresh, honest adult oriented sound to the table. Hung the Moon is a total smash hit unnoticed by The Machine that tells us what's good. It ranks up with Toad's "Amnesia". Anthemic. They're one of the great underrated bands ranking right up there with Toad the Wet Sprocket, Jars of Clay, and Matchbox Twenty. Oh, and the Wallflowers. To quote the late, great Frank Zappa: "Most people wouldn't know good music if it kicked 'em in the a**!" I admire that Kevin Gilbert is so humble that he's not gone and done like Rob Thomas- become a superstar and left the great music behind with the rest of the band.... 'course, I've never met him... THIS IS ONE OF THOSE ALBUMS WHERE EVERY SONG IS GOOD. OF THESE THREE ARE EXCELLENT. ALSO IT HAS PLENTY OF VARIETY, NOT ALL THE SONGS SOUND THE SAME LIKE SOME GROUPS.

This is one of their greatest! Full of amazing songs that keep you rockin and singing along. A step up from their Friction Baby CD, and totally different from the rest of their albums. Better Than Ezra is one of those great bands that gives you something different on every album, yet they keep their same southern rock style.
