in my 50-something years, i despair to find something "new" worth listening to these days... (did you see this years' grammy awards?! ---the music industry has become a vast wasteland of no-talent wanna-be's) ...so, i reached back to my teen years and re-experienced one of my stoner-day discoveries: "family-anyway". can't say it's a totally wasted effort... there are a few good songs to be heard here, particularly "good news bad news" and perhaps "holding the compass". anyway, music has a way of instantly taking you back to a special time and place in your life whenever you "hear that tune"... and this disc is a good case in point. maybe you just had to "be there" to appreciate these guys, or maybe it was the quality of the columbian or thai-sticks that were so prevalent at the time... i dunno. i'm glad i bought the disc, and can surely recommend "family's" style of alternative-rock even 40 years after the fact... go for it, marley!Read full review
