Limited Edition with Bonus Track Jadis are an excellent guitar based prog rock band. Unfortunately their first album was such a Prog Rock 'classic' it takes some lving up to, but this is a good one. Gary Chandler (Lead guitar/vox) is Jadis to a large extent. His vocals are very powerful and guitar playing extraordinary. However Keys, Bass and Drums are also superb. The music is guitar based prog (with keyboards) and very original. I hate to compare them to anyone else, because they are very original. There are touches of 'Rush' and occasionally touches of early-Genesis - but they are not clones. The melodies can be complex and the instrumental sections superb. At times they are pretty heavy. If you are looking for some instant catchy-pop tunes this is the wrong band for you. If you are looking for something deeper, this is it. Jadis are competent enough to occupy pride of place in my CD cupboard next to ELP, Yes, Floyd etc. Catch them live - there are great.
