Well I don't have the CD because it is not released until February 26th, but her new single is out titled " Feedback " and I LOVE the song. It has a fresh " vibe " to it. As quoted by Janet : "A PASSION FOR DISCIPLINE" by Janet "It's the idea that unifies the songs on this record. As a concept, and even a lifestyle, discipline goes extremely deep. It can be applied to so much about ourselves. In my case,I see it as one of defining aspects of my character. Discipline was there for me from the start. But it was not until this record that I began to understand its full meaning. "In putting Discipline out front -- as both the title of the album and title of a song about sexual surrender -- I wanted to announce that I was venturing into new creative waters. That meant working with producers like Jermaine Dupri, Rodney Jerkins, and Ne-Yo, whose songs spoke to the immediacy of my emotions. Like all my records, this one, whether intentional or not, has autobiographical roots. It's difficult for me to work any other way. I don't feel it, if I don't believe it, I can't sing it. "So Discipline, as a storyline, begins in my childhood which someone could see as a classic study in discipline. Discipline was part of a family culture that I absorbed. I was born with it. "I also believe that discipline has given me the confidence to jump out of the nest. When L.A. Reid, Chairman of Island Def Jam, and I discussed co-executive producing this record, we both agreed that the feeling had to adventuresome and fresh. I was interested in exploring musical scenarios--some exotic, many erotic, but all deeply emotional. "I wanted to push the envelope. And I'm glad that Discipline, both as a song and an album, does just that." With that, I am axiously waiting for the CD/DVD to come out in less than 2 weeks. I am hoping that this project will also have a good possibility of Janet putting together a TOUR with this new CD. She did not go on tour with her last 2 CDs. One of the reasons she didn't tour with 20 Y.O was because she was in a Tyler Perry movie " Why Did I get Married ? " I know that there are many Janet fans that are just waiting for her to go on tour again, I know that I am really hoping to see Janet on tour again. Her tours are a combination of a concert and a theatre production and those combined with Janets singing and dancing talents, wherever she performs, it is non-stop high octane ENERGY from beginning to the end. After the CD come out on February 26th, I will listen t it and then leave another review ( if anyone cares to read it ). Thank you all for taking the time to read all of this. Have a good weekend, Happy Early St Patricks Day, Happy Early Easter, Happy Early SUMMER !!! I am sick of all this snow !!! LOL PEACE and God Bless to you all !!! Janet Jackson has been one of my favourite singers and performes since her A&M era. I've always loved the way she looked, sang and connected her tracks with the dance on stage and in her videos. This time I had not known what to expect: she changed the label and for the first time after long 22 years she didn't work with Jimmy & Terry. Nevertheless, I was looking forward to the album. After I heard "Discipline" first, I could clearly say she did not disappoint me at all. I found some unique dance tracks, slow melodies, personal lyrics there...just everything I wanted from Janet. My favourite tracks on the album are 'Rock With U', '2nite', 'Feedback' and the title track, 'Discipline'. The interactive interludes are interesting too. On the song 'The 1' Janet collaborated with Missy Elliott again, but I like the 'Son of a Gun' from the "All For You" album more than this one. The deluxe limited edition bonus DVD "The Making of Discipline" contains interesting backstage materials for fans and collectors such as recording studio, photo shoot, rehearsal and the making of 'Feedback' video, plus the video itself. The booklet contains some nice pictures of Janet and all the songs' lyrics. I wish "Discipline" to be a successful album all over the world - Janet deserves to be on the top again. To me, besides "The Velvet Rope", "JJ's Ryhthm Nation 1814", "Control" and "All For You", Janet's tenth studio album "Discipline" is one of the best records she's ever made. I only hope to see her supporting it on tour... Tracklist: CD 01. I.D. (interlude) 02. Feedback 03. LUV 04. Spinnin (interlude) 05. Rollercoaster 06. Bathroom Break (interlude) 07.
