This 1977 recording is the Residents' fourth release. Originally titled TOURNIQUET OF ROSES, it was shortened to fit on a 12" album and retitled FINGERPRINCE. Recorded in 1976, Fingerprince is the Resident's fourth album. However, when it was being recorded it was not called "Fingerprince." in 1976 it was called "Tourniquet of Roses" and was so long that it would have consumed three LP sides. The album was cut back to the standard length of two sides, which was renamed "Fingerprince". Thanks to the length of CD, the original "Tourniquet of Roses" was restored. The title "Fingerprince" is still in use for the longer version however.

This is a classic. An old school residents concerto for guitar and voices. This is a masterpiece, CD version including the babyfingers 7". First you listen to it, once it's in your head you will never forget it (excepting by asking for a complete lobotomy). You will turn the roses in your brain for ever and ever.
